Mission Statement
To motivate and empower communities and institutions to take collective action to protect the environment, ensuring the well-being of ecological systems for the health of humans and other living beings.
Health and Environment Development (HED) is a small non-governmental organization that was officially established and registered at the national level on May 2, 2023, with registration number 00NGO/R/4745. It was formed to implement environmental conservation and health initiatives in Tanzania mainland. HED is a non-profit organization aiming to carry out its activities in the community without charging beneficiaries for services intended to generate profit. The organization’s headquarters are in Segera Ward, Handeni District, Tanga, Tanzania.
